The framework of west is so embedded in our lives and discourse, that we understand our own ideas like a western outsiders and are trying to justify, reject and tame it, to the framework, which we are trained. No matter if your on the right or left, both are trying to make Hinduism more palatable to their taste and reject all that which appears difficult to digest.
